My weekend in short

I was planning on climbing a 7000 ft. peak in the Southern Alps this weekend, but on Thursday I felt quite sick - I thought I had caught something drastic that a friend had for a couple weeks, so I backed out. But on Friday I was fine so that friend and I hitchhiked up to Christchurch to go to a bush rave.

Whoa. Imagine 300+ people up up people feverishly dancing in a tiny clearing in the forest - surrounded by a 15,000-watt wall of sound pulsing out of speakers placed in every direction.

Needless to say, it was heaven on earth (minus the fact I wasn't on earth) for me. I met many cool people, and even got to see some sights in Christchurch, like, uh, the Cathedral... Just got back two hours ago. Fun fun!
